Shedding Houses by the Marina

 


A view of the 'shedding houses' by the marina.  The owners lease the underwater land and build everything on silts over the water.  The crabs are held in the rows of wooden tanks above the water until they change their shells.  As soon as they've shed their old shell they are plucked from the tanks and packed to go to market.
